When the fire broke out, ten teenagers, ranging from ages 16 to 18 were staying in the cabin but managed to escape safely. After the fire was extinguished with the help of local fire departments and electricians, however, there was nothing left of the cabin. Electricians were able to determine that the fire was, indeed caused by the electric heater, however.

One thing that should always be taken into consideration is the safety of any appliance you are using that requires the use of electricity. You never want to use a product that is old, not functioning properly or damaged in any way, as it can be dangerous and cause a fire, just like this electric heater did.
